Has your website experienced a jump in new visitors? That’s a good thing! It means that your blog is visible and that your SEO efforts are paying off. But if you’re only converting a small percentage of those new hits into repeat visitors, it’s a sign that something isn’t working on your site. Perhaps your content doesn’t match what the visitors were searching for, or it’s simply not compelling enough to return. While it may not be possible to convert every visitor to your blog into a repeat customer, there are a number of ways to improve these conversion rates and start building up a steady, loyal readership over time. Here are a few tips to make your blog unmissable, time and time again.
Once a valuable reader has found your blog, don’t let him leave. With a combination of valuable content and user-friendly features, you can help ensure that your blog becomes one of his new favourite online hangouts.
Spark conversations
One of the top ways to get readers invested enough to come back for more is to allow comments on your posts. It’s better not to moderate them in advance. If a commenter has to wait over an hour to see their comment pop up, they’re unlikely to bother continuing with the conversation. Let the chat flow freely, and make your blog a welcoming community. Respond to comments and moderate when necessary for flow.Update frequently
It goes without saying that if your content is stuffy, dull, or overly obvious that readers are unlikely to come back for more. Although it takes time to craft high-quality, interesting content, try to push yourself into a regular editorial schedule. Readers may be dying for more, but if they visit a few times and it seems like your site is never updated, they’re unlikely to return. Aim for weekly, if not daily, updates.Offer a weekly newsletter
Provide a gentle reminder that your blog is a must-read by giving visitors the option to sign up for regular updates or newsletters. A weekly newsletter could include special email-only content, notifications of upcoming events or giveaways, and a roundup of links to the week’s best stories. This can be forwarded and shared as necessary.Link to more content
If you have a blog about pet care and a reader has found you by searching for tips on dog grooming, you can pique her interest by including links to related stories at the bottom of the article. This makes the new reader more likely to click through and start browsing around your site. You can also include links to related content within the body of your article, making it easier for readers to find the information they’re really looking for.Build your social networks
Social networking is now essential for bloggers, and you’ll boost reader engagement if you have feeds at the ready for your audience to like and share. If you need more ideas to help grow your brand, small business courses at training.com.au can be a good source of information. This can help you integrate your growing blogger business with multiple social networking platforms.Create a message board, listings board, or forum
Want a surefire way to keep guests coming back for more? Create a job board, event listings board, or community forum. These aren’t features that every blog has, so it will help make yours stand out all the more.Offer freebies
Ok, so this one might seem like bribery – but it works! Offering the occasional giveaway or running a contest can get your readers more involved, and far more likely to return to see if they’re winners. As your readership and authority grows, there may be a number of businesses who would be happy to provide you with prizes in exchange for exposure to your readers – just be sure to fully disclose any partnerships of this kind to stay above board and maintain the level of trust that your readers expect!Once a valuable reader has found your blog, don’t let him leave. With a combination of valuable content and user-friendly features, you can help ensure that your blog becomes one of his new favourite online hangouts.

Designing a high-quality business logo is truly an art form. When you look at some of the most popular and iconic logos that have been developed over the years, some of the most familiar and internationally recognized designs are artistic masterpieces in their own way. Here are several tips that you should remember when working on your next "masterpiece."
Know the Brand First
Before you can start designing an effective business logo, you need to have a full understanding of the brand that the image will represent. Keep in mind that your logo is a lot more than just a fancy picture featured on professional letterhead and company signs. It is the single design that an entire company (along with their clientele) will look come to know as their identifiable mark.According to Mashable, the logo has to connect with a specific audience. You need to determine whether or not it should evoke emotion or simply be a utility-driven image. Business logo design by Designhill overall strives to keep the ideology of the brand as a top priority while creating each design draft.
Simplicity Provides a Key Advantage
Simplicity is an art form in itself. Sadly, it seems to be a forgotten art from in the growing world of graphic design. Too many designers complicate their logos and then wonder why their work continually gets rejected by their clients. Keep in mind that a business logo will have to duplicated, printed and used in numerous places – including online websites and printed promotional materials.The last thing that a company wants is to have a design on their advertising that will confuse and frustrated their ideal customer. Think about some of the most iconic business logos today – Nike's swoosh, Apple's bitten apple, McDonald's golden arches, etc. Although these logos are very simplistic in nature and design, according to Design Shack, they have each made a significant impact on the world of business and withstood the tests of time.
Stay Away from Cliché Concepts
Most artists strive to avoid becoming clichés in their work, especially if they are trying to make their own impact in the graphic design industry. However, it seems almost natural to drift towards using cliché elements in logo designs. Perhaps it is because of the fact that some cliché elements have become viewed as permanent symbols over the years – such as a speech bubble to represent conversations or globes to represent an international concept.Any of these common elements that seem to pop up in your head automatically because of their familiarity need to be discarded and forgotten immediately, according to CreativeBloq. For example, business logo design by Designhill focuses on finding new ways to express old ideas and concepts within the average logo. Strive to stay as far away from any visual cliché as possible and develop original designs and ideas for your business logos.
Reach Out for Assistance and Support
Never think that you are on an island by yourself when it comes to designing business logos. Thanks to the Internet, there are numerous opportunities for support, assistance and even collaborations available right at your fingertips. Business logo design by Designhill focuses primarily on the power of collaboration.That is why designers are able to work together on developing new ideas as well as receiving and giving honest feedback and critiques. Having that top of high-quality support and assistance readily available to you can help to mold you into a much better logo designer in time. However, you will never be able to receive those types of benefits without reaching out for help first.
An Overnight Masterpiece is Highly Unlikely
You have a better chance of winning the lottery than you do developing an iconic logo that becomes a timeless classic overnight. Think about the numerous times that some of the most popular logos have been changed completely or even slightly modified over the years. It is important to keep in mind that the success of your logo design has to be able to match the success of the company that it represents in order for it to become iconic.
A successful logo will not go very far with a failing business on the brink of bankruptcy. This is why it is so important to focus on finding satisfaction in your own work and making your clients happy with your designs. Once they select one of your designs to represent their brand, the rest is up to them.
You Can Create a Masterpiece
Whether you realize it or not, you may already have the skillset and creativity needed to develop the next big masterpiece within the expanding art gallery of business logos. However, you need to put these tips into practice and take full advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. Even if you create a failed design, it will still put you one step closer to your masterpiece if you learn from it.

Yesterday, people who are using template Simplex Creative complaint to me that their site and my demo not work. I already checked and found that Google Drive deleted all javascript files necessary for template file Simplex Creative which hosted in Google Drive.
So I have to add all javascript snipets which storage in external file into template file. So no hosting required now. This might not good for SEO because a lot of javascript in template file. But I think nowaday, Google become more and more intelligent to crawling website content and rank the site with best content, so technical issues as above will not be a big impact to search result.
You can download fixed xml template file here
Download
Remember to backup all data and widget content before re-installing the template
If you have a hosting, you can download all javascript file here
and replace javascript which hosted in Google Drive with your own hosting.

Have you download and install our latest template Simplex Vertical ? How do you feel ? I've got some requests for template customisation, and in this post, I want to show you something to make a new look for template Simplex Vertical, outside from others.
1. Re-arrange the position of widgets
The easiest solution is re-arrange the position of widgets, for example, move block3 to position of block1, move slider to the bottom of page, or something like this.Only open Blogger Dashboard - > Layout tab ->Move the widget position.
2. Changing the color
Changing the color of link, post titles, top bar navigation, footer, is another way to make your blog fresh and out of default layout. You can change the all the color to new color pattern, to more colorful, fresh and cool color.To change the color of top navigation bar, you can find this code
#navigation_bar {
background:#000;
height:50px;
}
Change the attribute background: #000; to the color you want.
To change the color of footer, find this code:
#footer {
background:#000;
}
To change the link color:
a {
color: #ff502e;
text-decoration: none;
}
Change the attribute color: #ff502e;To change the font style, font color of post title
.post-header h1 {
color: #000;
font-family: "Georgia";
font-size: 30px;
line-height: 38px;
margin-bottom: 11px;
word-wrap: break-word;
}
To change the font-size and font style
body {
font-family: "Droid Sans",sans-serif;
font-size: 13px;
}
It requires you a litle knowledge of HTML and CSS, but it worth to give a try.
3. Change the Disqus comment to Blogger default comment
It's very easy to change the Disqus comment to Blogger default comment. Many people ask me for this question and here is solution:Open Blogger Dashboard ->Template ->Edit HTML
Press Ctrl+F to find this code
<b:include data='post' name='comments'/>
And change this to this one
<b:include data='post' name='threaded_comments'/>
4. Make a sticky top bar navigation
Top bar navigation is not moved when scrolling. To make it always on top, add this script to the top, right after </head>
<style>
.sticky {
position: fixed;
width: 100%;
left: 0;
top: 0;
z-index: 100;
border-top: 0;
}
</style>
<script type='text/javascript'>
$(document).ready(function() {
// grab the initial top offset of the navigation
var stickyNavTop = $('#navigation_bar').offset().top;
// our function that decides weather the navigation bar should have "fixed" css position or not.
var stickyNav = function(){
var scrollTop = $(window).scrollTop(); // our current vertical position from the top
// if we've scrolled more than the navigation, change its position to fixed to stick to top,
// otherwise change it back to relative
if (scrollTop > stickyNavTop) {
$('#navigation_bar').addClass('sticky');
} else {
$('#navigation_bar').removeClass('sticky');
}
};
stickyNav();
// and run it again every time you scroll
$(window).scroll(function() {
stickyNav();
});
});
</script>
That's all. Now the top menu bar will stay on top when scrolling page.If you want to make the short list for the Shorty Award for social media's best blogger, you almost have to be mobile. Blogging’s not just nerds holed up with a laptop or clunky desktop anymore. Blogging in 2014 is done anywhere, anytime. You must stay connected to your audience like Shorty Award finalist blogger Sophia Abrahao does. She is always on Twitter and in constant contact with her fans and followers. This means, that bloggers need to take advantage of mobile blogging tools. Here are just a few suggestions:
For Capturing Ideas
Bloggers must create content by capturing ideas, trending news and whatever is going to be the next big thing. This requires taking a lot of notes. But, nobody’s walking around with a pencil and notebook nowadays. They’re more likely carrying the latest smartphone so they can take photos and use apps to capture their ideas and information to use in the next blog post.- Tools like Read-It-Later and Instapaper allow busy bloggers to save websites and emails to read later without having to remember website names or chase down a scrap of paper.
- Evernote and Springpad work along the same lines and also let you sort through your notes.
- Catch and Trail-Mix let you save images, places, lists and files as well.
For Publishing on the Fly
Busy bloggers aren’t in the office creating posts—they’re out on the road, at the airport or train station or at the scene of the next big conference or event. They’re not sitting at a desk with a computer. They are speaking ideas into their smartphones, rolling out folding keyboards and using their smartphones to publish posts in real time.WordPress bloggers will want to use the official WordPress mobile app to publish their posts, check stats and monitor page views. This app lets users upload photos right into their posts, moderate comments, draft post ideas and manage multiple sites.
Once they have published their post, bloggers should update their social networks. Buffer, a social sharing scheduler, makes it easy for bloggers to update their social media accounts, especially if they have multiple accounts on the same platform. Buffer enables published posts to be auto-shared or advertised on a set schedule. Additionally, the MailChimp app allows bloggers to access their email lists.
For Using Audio
With audio apps you can publish podcasts, interviews and audio recordings.- Soundcloud lets you record your podcast, share it to social networks and post it to your blog.
- AudioBoo lets you record audio and quickly add it to your blog.
- Dropvox lets you record interviews and store them in the cloud for editing and sharing later so you don’t use all of your phone’s storage.
- TranscribeMe lets users record and transcribe audio at meetings, interviews and speeches for later use.
