Guest Post by Patty Whelan of Merchant Express.
Lauren Freeman, President of the e-tailing group (a niche e-commerce consultancy), published a white paper to share the findings of consumer rationale for using chat. Studies were undertaken to determine the “who, what, where and why” behind consumers’ choosing to use an online chat feature. Online retailers have much to be gained by implementing the best of the live chat experience into their business.
It can be concluded that the six core reasons online shoppers choose to use live chat are multi-faceted:
1. Shoppers feel special and empowered when they use live chat
Strong expressed strong feelings of appreciation for chat’s availability to solve a problem when sought on their own terms. Knowing their problems and/or questions matter and that help is conveniently available is significant for many of the shoppers interviewed.2. Shoppers can multi-task when chatting
Busy online shoppers embrace technology that saves them time; freeing them up to accomplish other things. Live chat uniquely puts shoppers in a position to problem solve while still focusing on other tasks at hand. Not having to stray from their computers or pick up the phone (especially in a work environment) were significant reasons chat was favored.3. Chat provides instant gratification – getting questions answered in a timely fashion
For access any time of the day or night, live chat is hard to beat. These shoppers seek immediate answers to any and all questions and “get it done in 5 minutes versus having to call or go to a store.” Ultimately, the less time spent dealing with specific issues means more time for shoppers to do something else of their choosing.4. Chat works in multiple scenarios from simple service questions to complex product queries
Pre-order benefits are varying as the information gathered beforehand not only answers a question but saves having to return products. Alternatively, post-order lends itself to a different set of questions that can be just as valuable for saving time. Queries might seek general information but also benefit shoppers addressing processing challenges, returns and even post-purchase support.Speed, efficiency and an ability to utilize live chat for almost every issue imaginable cannot be under-estimated. From basic service concerns to questions on the most complex of products including high ticket merchandise, all seem to be fair game for consumers.
5. Chat allows consumers to avoid inconvenient or annoying alternative methods
The individuals that were interviewed outlined a multitude of reasons why chat is their preferred form of communication with the retailers they shop. Instantaneous responses in real-time are much preferable to the wait time of alternative email or phone options.6. Chat is like “good old-fashioned” customer service
Several respondents suggested that, “chat is like having a salesperson right there when you need them — and not (right there) when you don’t.” These chat interactions reinforce that retailers actually have people in place who understand the product and have valuable information to impart. This harkens back to times prior to this technological age when such knowledge was the rule of retail. These key insights gained from consumers that appreciate a positive live chat experience should be taken into consideration for every retailer’s growth strategy.
• Your live chat feature should be easy to find and easy to use.
• Be sure that your customers are treated with intelligence.
• Be helpful and don’t make the mistake of using chat technology as playing the role of a pushy salesperson.
Incorporate the best of traditional customer service interactions into your live chat feature to create a positive customer experience, enhance your company’s reputation and foster customer loyalty.

When you are designing an eCommerce website, there are no half measures. Your eyes need to be on the ball, all the time. You cannot afford any laxity when it comes to design. This is because more than anything else, the design of an eCommerce site is all about getting the attention of the target audience and creating an environment, wherein they are willing to part with their hard earned money. A website that can attract visitors, but has a very minimal conversion ratio is regarded a failure.
So, this begs the question – What’s the art of creating that perfect eCommerce website? Well, the answer is pretty simple, really and that is ‘Don’t fall into the black holes that are waiting to swallow you, every step of the way, when you are designing an eCommerce site. But you can only avoid them if you are able to identify them.

This is a guest post by my friend SAHL AHMED who is a tech geek and a SEO expert and Founder of Humor And technology Blog – HumorTechBlog.Com
Most of the new bloggers step into blogging only because of Google Adsense . They think that they can make some money from their blog with Google adsense. But when they don’t get approved by adsense they are left with only one choice to quit blogging.
In this post ,I will show you the method to get approved by Google Adsense.
First of all , I assume you know what Google Adsense is the importance of Google Adsense to blogger's life .Here's a small summary if you never heard about Adsense .
What is Google Adsense?
Google.com earns most of revenue by allowing other website owners to advertise on their search result pages. This is managed through a program called Google AdWords.
Now you can earn a share of the revenue that Google earns from AdWords by displaying ads on your site. In other words, you're helping Google advertise and they pay you a percentage of what they earn.
This revenue sharing program is called Google AdSense.
It is the highest paying PPC (pay per click) program.

Who can join adsense?
Adsense is FREE to Join if your website passes its CRITERIAS
There are many criterias
1.Your website should be 6 months old
2.It should have be a Top level Domain
Click HERE for the list of criterias
How much time would it take to get adsense approved by using this method?
1. 15 To 30 days or maximum 2 months
2. Implementation of 14 Steps.
You have to implement 14 points below in order to make your blog/website ready for Google Adsense and get approved quickly :
1. Start a Blog on blogger.com Or use ur existing blog.
2. Put a cool and soothing template ..not too flashy and but too simple. It should look professional.
3. Buy a Custom domain (top level domain i.e (.COM) to publish your blogger blog on it. It should have a Name which relates to your blog . It will cost you some money but worth to do . (Google doesn't accept domains with .blogspot.com nowaday)
Tip: search on google for "How to use custom domain on blogger"
4.Write 20-30 good articles about your niche . If you can't , go to any article directory ( like Ezine etc ...) ,get articles and rewrite them in a very different way .
Tip: The more Orignal content , the better are the chances but don't rush and put a lot of articles.
5. An about me/Us page and a privacy policy page is a must-have and link to these pages should be seen on your homepage.
6. Put a neat and clean EMAIL subscription Box and a Blog archive widget.
7. Submit your website to Google , Bing , Yahoo and other search engines.
8. Bookmark your website in google and submit to Digg .
Tip : - never submit more than 15 links to Digg at a time if you don't want to get a ban !
- follow and get followers before submitting to Digg.
9. Make a Facebook fan page ,a Twitter account and a youtube channel in your blog or your website name. If not ,try your name .
Tip: Put a link – “FOLLOW US On twitter" clickable image or a Facebook like box on your blog!
10. Get some Facebook fans and Twitter followers by inviting fellow bloggers , friends , family , relatives . Upload 5-10 videos on Youtube and get some views.
Tip: Add a link at the start of your video description and at Twitter / Facebook about us page.
There are 2 ways by which you can get views to your video.
1. White hat method – By uploading original video tutorials or funny or cool videos which are made by you.
2. Black hat method- This method includes re-uploading of latest videos which have less views till now and which are good enough to get a lot of views.
I don’t encourage black hat method so for more information please contact me .
11. Share every post of you on Facebook profile and to Twitter followers , ask them to visit your website often.
12.Make an account on flixya.com and upload 10 videos or more .The same which you uploaded on youtube.
Tip : put your website link in all the videos on bottom of original description.
After uploading 10 videos or more you can apply for Adsense via flixya.com by going to the monetize tab.
13.Get traffic to you blog ( get as much as u can after applying for adsense as they check your website traffic)
Traffic sources :
-.Search engines
-.forums
-.twitter
-.facebook profile and fan page
-.youtube
-.flixya.com
-.Email marketing
14.( Most important )You should apply by flixya.com and by your website also ,on the same day.
Fill in all the details properly as it is difficult to change it after approval
15. If you apply the second time after getting banned or disapproved : make small changes in your ADDRESS and apply again..
e.g make co op ..co operative or make opp --> opposite or vice – versa.
What will happen after applying : The trick ?
As youtube and flixya.com are Google revenue sharing platforms , Google will check the both these .
So if your making an improvement at 3 places ,you will become a good publisher to invest in + you have a blog /webisite which is worthy of showing ads . Therefore it approves you.
PLAN A TIME TABLE FOR ALL THIS SO THAT IT DOESN’T BECOME STRESSFULL
This is not an illegal method ,I've just shared what helped me to get an adsense account.
Please note:
-Wait for 10-12 days before applying from flixya.com.
-While making an account on flixya.com or youtube use the email address by which your are gonna apply for adsense.
Now that you know all the things needed to make a powerfull blog.
Start now and rock it.
Thank you for your precious time.

How to avoid becoming a victim of Paypal ?

PayPal is a great idea and for 95% of users it is a wonderful way to do business without any problems. BUT there are drawbacks and you should know them if you want to protect yourself. I would like to offer a few pieces of advice so you may avoid becoming another PayPal VICTIM .
1. PayPal is a great option for payment, but they are not a safe payment method .And it sometime put troubles in your account ,so just like the saying goes, NEVER PUT ALL OF YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET if you want your business is not interrupted . Having several accounts is a good idea .
2. Be aware that the Seller and Buyer Protection offered on PayPal is not exactly as it seems. Nothing is 100% secure . And in the worst case ,you still lost money with these "protection" . Never buy or sell any item that you are not prepared to lose. Trying to follow the rules is still recommended but don't expect them to protect you at all times. Keep your own documentation, research as much as you can, and do good business and your are bound to come out ahead.
3. if you are a seller , as an extention of #2, never 'offer' insurance and signature confirmation as an option. For anything of value these must be required, at the very least you have to get a signature confirmation. These are the only tools you have to prove that the transaction was completed. Don't give up your protection because the buyer doesn't feel like paying for it. Because in the end it is up to you, not the buyer, to provide proof of delivery.
4. Always use your CC for transactions on PayPal. Mastercard and Visa only. AMEX and Discover are not recommended because in the case of chargebacks they do not hold PayPal responsible for chargeback and disputes. Also keep in mind that you have every right to dispute the charge with your CC company, but if you win, PayPal may very well debit your account for that amount. Be prepared to lose the money or spend a lot of time fighting with PayPal over lost funds, a frozen account, or worse, an 'authorized' withdraw from your bank account.
5. If you have to supply PayPal with a bank account in order to make withdraws, you may want to consider opening a second account just for PayPal and internet transactions. This can limit your vunerability to unauthorized charges. Keep in mind that these charges may cause your account to be overdrawn and assessed NSF charges, but typically you can have these reveresed if the charges were not authorized.
6. Never let anyone log into PayPal using your computer and vise versa. PayPal has a great way of linking accounts and occasionally it has no rhyme nor reason. PayPal does use ISP to link accounts though and although this is a silly way to link accounts, it is done and it causes problems for many. If at any time PayPal has 'linked' your account with another and the other user has a problem with PayPal, their problem now becomes your problem. Example, Customer A buys from Customer B and pays with PayPal, Customer B then buys something from Customer C and also uses PayPal. PayPal discovers that Customer A has used a stolen credit card. All three accounts will immediately be affected.
7. My friend - a money exchanger (he buy and sell money in payment systems such as Moneybooker ,Paypal,Liberty reserve...) has a rule for himself : never receive an amount of money if he can't verify the source . Long time ago ,he did receive an amount from a fraud paypal account - and got frozen immediately
8. READ PayPal's ToS, and understand it fully. They are not very flexible if they catch you breaking a rule and if you have any kind of funds in your account they could be held for 180 days. Their ToS is long and complicated but it's the small print that has most often caused problems with users.
9. As an expansion of #8 ,you can see many service for removing Paypal limitation in account ,and they can charge you 50% of total amount in Paypal account for doing this work . In fact, you can remove the limitation yourself by contacting Paypal and do as they request .
10. Keep in mind that despite knowing the ToS, you could still get burned because of the simple phrase found in it, "If PayPal 'believes' that you cause a liability to yourself, PayPal, or other members". This statement is so broad that it is often the only thing in the ToS that PayPal can get you with. So in the case you can't take your money back after meeting scammers ,Paypal will take no responsibility .They wrote rules and rules are good for people who write them first
11. If your PayPal account is frozen or you feel you have been unjustly treated, remain persistent. Supply all the information requested and follow-up constantly to assure they have received said information. Know your rights, there are many sites like www.paypalwarning.com and www.paypalsucks.com that can give you advice and resources in bad situations. Be prepared to report PayPal to all the appropriate authorities.
In my experience ,I met some troubles when dealing with Paypal , they put a limitation on my account when I added my credit card ,they took no responsibility when scammers scam my money ... but anyway ,everything is going right and I'm happy to do business with Paypal .
If you got experience when dealing with paypal or something interesting ,you can share with me and readers of this blog . We all appreciate to listen .

Have you ever use Paypal for making payment ?
Have you ever scammed via Paypal ?
Have you ever win a dispute in Paypal but you can't get money back because the seller take money from his paypal account and go away ?
I was in this situation two times ,and I took my money back in both .
I know many peoples who suffered the feeling of losing money when he /she got scammed via Paypal . And most of them avoid using Paypal for the buying in internet for the next time . Is it worth for doing that ?
here is my experience when got scammed , I hope this story will be helpful to you ,my friend ,who want to use paypal as payment method .
The first time I sent $250 to a seller in china via ioffer.com website ,transactions was made outside ebay ,so paypal buyer protection policy doesn't work in this case . She sent me a cheap ring instead of a cellphone which I bought . She even added EMS shipping tracking number to paypal . I took photos of the ring I received ,scan shipping bill , and sent all these to this email address : apaccrme@paypal.com ( this is email of anti fraud department in paypal ) . After checking all document I sent , Paypal made a refund for me . It had been 10 days since we made transaction but Paypal still made refund to me .
The second time , I sent $400 to a seller in Australia for buying an iphone . After payment made ,the seller informed me that he sent me the good via Fedex and it would take 7days for arriving ,and he never answered any mail of me later . 7days ,I still got nothing . I opened a disputation in paypal ,they said after 15days without response from seller ,they would decide this case as my favor . After 15 days ,they said me this disputation was decided as my favor and I won in this case ,but seller withdrew money from his account so I got nothing back . I was angry . But I had a trick . I used another email address and mail to this seller for asking about his iphone and want to buy one for my self . He thought me another victim ,so replied me immediately . In mails ,I said I want to know about himself and his paypal address . He answered me that he is legit seller and give me his paypal mail address . His paypal's email when he replied me was changed ,it mean he created another paypal account for scamming . I forwarded all mails I received from this seller to apaccrme@paypal.com and noted that this seller is obviously scammer and I showed that he change his paypal account for scamming. After receiving my mail ,2 hours later ,I got an email from paypal said that base on my emails ,they decided to send money back to me from their fund and they would find the scammer-seller for take money back with the help of police . I got $400 back to my paypal account .
Here are my notices for when using paypal :
1,Try to collect emails address of paypal's departments and mail to them all when you are scammed . In general ,I mailed to all of paypal departments but only apaccrme@paypal.com is responsible for solving my trouble . Ms Selina at apaccrme@paypal.com is very honest and friendly . She's there to hear you .
2, Whatever you say will be nothing if you can't prove or showing any proofs . A shipping bill ,photos of good you receive,emails... are solid proofs for you .
3, In a disputation , you get only 50% to take money back ,if you are unlucky ,you will lose money . So mail to them immediately when you think you are scammed and mail as many as possible .
4, Be patient and friendly , don't mail to paypal with your angry words . In many payment processes I used ,paypal's support is the fastest and honest .
I hope my story is a good example for you if you got scammed . Thanks for reading
