Here is the renewed version of my template SimplexNewsportal . It's a good template for magazine and newsportal . I tried my best to make it easier to install and use .
There are two file for this template ,one with Disqus comment system and the other not .I added images folder to template package ,so if you want ,you can host images yourself

3,Upload template to Blogger
4,To add logo
click on edit link in logo widget
add logo into widget content like this
5,To add link to your social network
click on Subscribe widget

6,To add items to menu

add link to your categories
Link to category in blogspot has structure http://yourblog.blogspot.com/search/label/category name
7,To show content in headline widget
click on edit link in headline widget
add the name of category you want to show in this widget
8,To show content in feature content slider
click on edit link in feature content slider
add name of category you want to show in slider into widget content
9,Do the same for content left ,content right widgets .Just add a category name into widget content ,and recent posts in this category will be shown in widget's position in homepage .
10,Top ads,ads1 ,ads2 are widgets for advertisment . To add your ads
click on edit link
add your ad code into widget content .
11,You can add your own widgets if you want
12, To add a forum ,create a page (Go to Dashboard-Posting tab ->Edit Pages,click on new page) , name it "forum" and then paste the forum embeded code into page content (in Edit HTML mode)
After that , go to Dashboard -> Go to Design -> Edit HTML ,search for the text 'http://simplexnewsportal1.blogspot.com/p/forum.html'
and replace it with link to 'forum' page you've just created .There are 3 places need to change in total .

13,To increase/decrease the number of post in each category ,go to Design ->edit HTML -> checked Expand widget templates ,and find these variables in template file :
numposts = 3;try to change these values to what you need .
numposts1 = 4;
numposts2 = 6;

Everything works fine ..... until i enable the "content left ,content right widgets" ... if i enter the appropriate label name in the left and right content widgets, they all appear .... but the alignment after it(i.e) the sidebar and footer got terribly mis-aligned below... the sidebar comes below the center column and the footer widgets gets aligned at the side bar.... moreover the bottom footer wavers to the right.... does anyone got any idea to troubleshoot this mess.....[This is a great template by simplex....cudos]

ReplyDeleteFor those having problems with the left and right widgets... I had the same problem and it is because it is configured for 4 posts in each category so if you do not have those it moves everything.

@nhamngahanh I will use your template for a loca newsportal. I am still working on it. I had the same problem of Christina and Indyeah, but when I tried in a different blog it has 'worked'. The problem now is that all the ohter contents are empty - slides, headline, recent post/comments, etc. -, even though all tags are correct. Another thing is: How do these footerwidgets work? I know it´s a bit annoying all this people here asking you such stuff, but I would apreciate so much if you could kindly help me! =)

@nhamngahanh sure, I finally understood how it works :) I am having problems with the "question mark" images now... they´re everywhere, even though the images are in the post, they aren´t shown in the front page. The domain has changed recently from .blogspot to .com. Do you think it is perhaps related to it?

ReplyDeleteI am using your "newsportal" template as my personal blog. But, there is problem in displaying the Advetisement. I put the three Adsense Add in my blogger blog, in the starting time all ads were displaying, but after some time, its not displaying, I check with another computer but i could not see the advertisement. If i click any content like a post and when i redirect to the post page the add will appeares and when i used to return to my homepage the ads will be disappeared. What is the problems, Please suggest me.

Bạn cũng có thể thử save trang web về máy ,mở offline ra ,lúc đấy ,các script khác ko load nữa ,thành ra trạng thái ready được trả về ,và cái slider lại chạy được . @Tomasz Migdałek : the problem was found! link to the javascript is broken (http://dinhquanghuy.110mb.com/template/jquery-ui.min.js and http://dinhquanghuy.110mb.com/template/ajaxtabs.js). They cause future slider and Tabber not running anymore.

@Game Zone: Gini gan caranya. setiap label harus punya judul/postingan minimal 4 (klo kurang, layout berantakan). Termasuk Content left dan right harus punya 4 postingan.

For the width of all :

Change the width from 960px .
The size of left sidebar can be adjusted by edit this code :

and for the right sidebar

width: 300px;
}
You can find all these codes in template file and edit it your own .
I am sorry, I was not able to find the solution for image not showing up. It was working fine day before yesterday, suddenly it got messed up. I searched through your blog but I coudn't find the solution. If you give a direct link or keyword to search, that would help ful to me.
ReplyDeleteThe reason why I asked about the sidebar width adjustment is because I was not able to place the ad on the footer. I tried to place an add after the footer widget like a banner. But when I place it, it comes like a missorder. Anyway it may be my mistake, I hope it can be correct if I work on the add size.

Searching in your blog or in google does not provide any answer on how to fix the issue with the mulfunction of the featured slider. Could you please helps us with being a little more specific on how we could solve it.
ReplyDeleteThis is very simple . The host that you are using for file jquery-ui and ajaxtabs.js doesn't allow to use js script directly. So it's the reason why the slider doesn't work . You can find another host ,if you have enough money ,I suggest you to buy a cdn or a separated web hosting to host js file , it will work as fast as a Ferrari
